By now, your camera is probably full of great photographs and videos. The next step is to review, edit, and share them. Your camera offers some helpful playback and review functions, such as the LCD touch screen. Postproduction editing can sometimes be complex, but if you only want to make a few adjustments, you can do so on your camera. After you adjust your photos, it’s time to share them. This chapter covers the playback and editing options available on the Canon T4i/650D, as well as how you can store and share your images.

Viewing your Images

Viewing images is as much fun as taking them. The LCD screen makes it easy to review your photos quickly. The instant feedback—such as the lighting and composition—helps you become a better photographer. There are a few ways that you can review your images beyond the LCD screen, but let’s start there.

Viewing images or videos on the camera

In most cases, the first place that you see your photographs and videos is on the LCD screen on the back of your camera. I highly recommend that you protect the LCD screen from scratches by closing it when it’s not in use. To close the screen, turn it around to face the camera.
