Earlier in my career, I was one of the best-known global experts in a framework for writing websites that was, at the time, the fastest-growing tool. I spoke at conferences, was flown to deliver training, wrote a book, and had millions of visits to my website. That was the case during 3–4 years, and then it went the way of any popular piece of tech and started diminishing in stature. Within a couple of years, it was already considered “legacy” and is, by now, no longer really used for anything new. Sic transit gloria mundi.
