About the Authors
Judith S. Hurwitz is a technology strategist, consultant, thought leader, and author. A pioneer in anticipating technology innovation and adoption, she has served as a trusted advisor to many industry leaders over the years. Judith has helped these companies make the transition to new business models focused on the business value of emerging platforms. She is currently the chief causality evangelist at Geminos Software, a software company focused on causal AI software.
She was the founder of three consulting and research firms including Hurwitz & Associates (focused on AI, cloud, and data), CycleBridge (focused on life sciences software), and Hurwitz Group (focused on emerging software). She has worked in various corporations, including Apollo Computer and John Hancock. Judith has written extensively about all aspects of enterprise and distributed software. She has co-authored 10 books including Augmented Intelligence: The Business Power of Human-Machine Collaboration (2020), Cognitive Computing and Big Data Analytics (2015), and Smart or Lucky? How Technology Leaders Turn Chance into Success (2011). In addition, Hurwitz is a coauthor of seven For Dummies books, including Cloud Computing for Dummies, 2nd Edition (2020), Machine Learning for Dummies, IBM Limited Edition (2018), Big Data for Dummies (2013), and Hybrid Cloud for Dummies (2010).
