ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
Other authors have told me the only people who will read this far in the book will be the people you remember to mention in the acknowledgments. My bigger fear is who I may leave out—those who may wend their way back here and not find their names. Let me apologize in advance if in my haste I may have failed to mention anybody. It's truly been an effort of my entire village to get this book written, published, and promoted. Thank you all!
First and foremost to my dedicated coauthor, Kara Levy, who believed we could do it and kept me going when I was ready to call it quits. She is a gifted writer, efficient editor, and remarkable partner. Moreover she is a talented communication coach on both written and spoken skills. It's now out in the world, allowing us to inspire even more leaders to communicate more effectively.
Clearly without the careful stewardship of my editor at Wiley, Jeanenne Ray, and project editor, Vicki Adang, this book would not have come to fruition. Their work was then picked up by Victoria Annlo, Dawn Kilgore, and Rebecca Taff. I'm grateful Wiley found me and was patient enough for me to get to the point in time when I could write a book. The entire team at Wiley deserves credit for the speed and accuracy of this publication.
