Introduction
In 2019, CompTIA released a new version of the Linux+ certification exam. This new exam isn’t just an update from the last certification but really a completely new exam.
The previous Linux+ certification was called “CompTIA Linux+ Powered by LPI.” The new certification no longer involves the Linux Professional Institute (LPI). As a result, the format and the topics are significantly different. For example, the new certification requires passing only one exam, not two. In addition, the exam objectives have undergone a major rewrite, and you will note that there are several devops-based topics that were not included in the previous certification.
