boolean apache_child_terminate()

The apache_child_terminate function instructs Apache to terminate the child process executing the PHP script when the request finishes. This applies only when Apache runs in multiprocess mode, which is normal behavior for Apache 1.3.x and optional for Apache 2.x. Ordinarily, Apache terminates child processes after a set number of requests, but you may wish to terminate early when your PHP script uses a large amount of memory.
