About the Author

Ralf St. Clair is a professor at the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada. He has been working in adult education for over thirty years as a practitioner, researcher, and consultant. Ralf grew up in Scotland, and his first qualifications were in community education from Moray House College in Edinburgh. He retains a concern about the ways in which education can support community and social movements, and still strongly believes in the link between education and social justice.
