14 Navigating from Crisis to Recovery
Hopefully, Chapter 13 has inspired you to pursue building resilience in your organization and within your context. Inevitably, external influences will cause a crisis. A prepared leader will not make decisions that worsen the crisis into a disaster; rather a prepared leader will make decisions that navigate through the crisis on the swiftest course to recovery and return to normalcy. Operating within a resilient context will facilitate that return to normalcy with the possibility of even rebounding into a better state.
This book contains various aspects of what it takes to become a crisis-ready leader. We will conclude by reviewing the pathway covered throughout the book and compiling the various elements into a formulation for successfully navigating from crisis to recovery.
