Berlin replied to this message on 9 November,
asking the “Red” section to be patient for a few
more days until a key for the new Enigma could be
forwarded.
At this point there ensued a considerable
amount of confusion regarding methods of trans-
mission of key, settings for the “Red” Enigma,
and settings for the “Red” Kryha, all of which was
