Abstract
This study is conducted to analyze the impact of emotional intelligence on the investment decision-making of Indian investors. Investors can improve their decision-making process regarding investments by recognizing and comprehending their emotions, which can reduce the conflicts that arise during the decision-making process. The survey method was used for collecting the primary data to test the research model. Data have been sourced from 239 Indian investors with market experience of at least 3 years in the four major metro cities, namely, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai. Respondent categories included postgraduate students, entrepreneurs, professional investors, public and private organizations employees, and individual investors. The Likert scale–based questionnaire was administered. The research employed statistical techniques such as exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and multiple regression analysis to reveal the fundamental pattern among a significant number of variables. Data analysis identified four factors affecting emotional intelligence and investment decisions, namely, attitude, emotions, perception, and low risk.
