When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
1Auf zur Insel
Es ist abends halb acht, als Mark van den Burg das Bürogebäude verlässt und rasch zu seinem Auto geht. Bis zum Hafen sind es anderthalb Stunden zu fahren und die letzte Fähre legt pünktlich zehn nach neun ab; ihm bleiben also nur zehn Minuten Reserve. Vor ihm liegt eine Woche Auszeit bei seinem Großvater auf der Insel.
Es ist schon ein paar Jahre her, dass er zuletzt dort war, und da sein Großvater die Insel nicht mehr verlässt, haben sie sich eine ganze Weile nicht mehr gesehen. Ab und zu telefonieren sie miteinander und reden über das Wetter, den Deich und das Wasser. Und natürlich auch immer über die zunehmende Hektik auf der Insel, denn jedes Jahr scheinen mehr Touristen zu kommen.
