Design – Build – Run: Applied Practices and Principles for Production-Ready Software Development
by Dave Ingram
Acknowledgments
Writing a book is a huge undertaking, especially when you have a day job too. I have worked on this book through the night, weekends, and also on holiday. I would like to say thank you to Sarah's family, who have been very supportive and very understanding, especially when I've had to miss family events. I would also like to thank my best friend, David "John" Steele, for all his support over the years and his hard work, help, and input. I would like to thank my close friend, John Masters, for acting as Technical Editor and I'd like to thank everybody at Wiley Publishing for all their hard work and efforts. I would especially like to thank Chris Webb for moving my original proposal forward.
It goes without saying that without the support and encouragement from a number of colleagues I would not have had the enthusiasm to write a book. This list that follows is by no way exhaustive but I would like to say thank you to Paul Billing, Keith Haviland, Nigel Barnes, Iain Henderson, Liv Sandbaek, Phil Tomkins, and Lee Murdoch.
Finally, I would like to thank my mum (Ann), my dad (William, deceased) and my brother (Derek) for supporting me throughout my very early years of computing and learning to program.
