If I were to offer a single piece of advice regarding improving apps for people with hearing impairments, it would be to embed captions on any video content, either through hard coding them or preferably by adding a subtitle track and using the AVPlayer control to play the video. If your app makes prominent use of audio, consider an alternative way to provide an engaging experience, perhaps through leveraging animation.
