When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Communication tools
When you start to use several DevOps tools, you need to go back and forth to visit several consoles to check whether the CI and CD pipelines work properly or not. In particular, the following events need to be monitored:
- Merging the source code to GitHub
- Triggering the new build on Jenkins
- Triggering AWS CodeDeploy to deploy the new version of the application
These events need to be tracked. If there's any trouble, DevOps teams needs to discuss this with the developers and the QA team. However, communication can be a problem here, because DevOps teams are required to capture each event one by one and then pass it on as appropriate. This is inefficient.
