When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Taints and tolerations
A node can decline pods by taints unless pods tolerate all the taints a node has. Taints are applied to nodes, while tolerations are specific to pods. A taint is a triplet with the form key=value:effect, and the effect could be PreferNoSchedule, NoSchedule, or NoExecute.
Suppose that we have a node with some running pods and those running pods don't have the toleration on a taint, k_1=v_1, and different effects result in the following conditions:
- NoSchedule: No new pods without tolerating k_1=v_1 will be placed on the node
- PreferNoSchedule: The scheduler would try not to place new pods without tolerating k_1=v_1 to the node
- NoExecute: The running pods would be repelled immediately or after a period that is specified ...
