It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

The tool on the cover of Digital Photography Hacks is a paintbrush. The camera is to photography what the brush is to painting. Our digicams enable us to capture light and create compositions in much the same way as a brush lets us direct raw color to express our vision.
