INTRODUCTION: ARE YOU DIGITALLY CURIOUS?
In the age of Generative AI (GenAI) and ChatGPT, it is probably more important than ever to point out that a human has written this book. When I started writing in late 2022, I never expected to have to completely rewrite this introduction, and many other sections, due to the speed at which AI technologies have developed. I’ve used several AI tools throughout, which I will highlight in the following chapters and explain how you too can leverage the power of AI.
It is fair to say that the launch of ChatGPT version 3.5 to the public on 30 November 2022 was a watershed moment not only for the AI movement but also for the broader effects that AI will have on society long after this book has been published. It has also helped me to promote my mantra and encourage readers of this book, listeners of my podcast, and audience members at my talks to become “digitally curious” and actively experiment with each new tool that appears.
GenAI platforms such as ChatGPT have removed the friction and allowed us to be even more digitally curious about new technologies and their effect on business and society.
When I suggest the need to be digitally curious to my audiences, I encourage them to actively use the tools and platforms I am discussing. In most cases, they agree that only by trying these new tools can you truly understand how the power of new technologies can help you in your business and your personal life.
