This is how to check the test coverage of your project:

  1. Create a setup.cfg configuration file for the coverage utility with the following content:
# setup.cfg[coverage:run]source = .omit =    media/*    static/*    tmp/*    drivers/*    locale/*    myproject/site_static/*    myprojext/templates/*
  1. Make sure to have these lines in the .gitignore file if you are using Git version control:
# .gitignorehtmlcov/.coverage.coverage.*coverage.xml*.cover
  1. Create a shell script, run_tests_with_coverage.sh, with the commands to run tests with coverage and report the results:
# run_tests_with_coverage.sh#!/usr/bin/env bashcoverage erasecoverage run manage.py test --settings=myproject.settings.testcoverage report
