So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

The ideas presented in this book stretch much further than the space between its covers. Thanks to the many contributors in the community, Ruby is a living, breathing project that continues to evolve. I encourage you to get involved, whether it’s through working on Ruby itself or by releasing your hard work as a RubyGem. Give back to the community that has so graciously given to you. At the same time, demand that we all work harder to create reliable, secure software that pushes the boundaries of what is possible.
