quality attributes of the system described in a view, and a rationale for selecting it.

◾ Views. Each view must contain an identifier or other introductory information, a representa-

tion of the system (conforming to the viewpoint), and configuration information.

◾ Consistency among views. Although the standard is somewhat vague on this point, the

architecture description needs to indicate that the views are consistent with each other. In

addition, the description is required to include a record of any known inconsistencies among

the system’s views.
