AGRICULTURE ON SPACESHIP EARTH

The expression ‘Spaceship Earth’ was first used by Buckminster Fuller many years ago to dramatize the fact that the resources of Earth are finite. Today this viewpoint has become necessary for man. If one looks at it this way, one can see Earth as an extra large, very efficient, Nature-designed spaceship, carrying its full load of three billion passengers through space at 18.5 miles per second, equipped with its own energy, refueling, recycling and life-support systems.
