So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Enabling the Google Places API
Like the Google Maps SDK, the Places API needs to be enabled on the Google Developer Console, https://console.developers.google.com/apis/library/places-backend.googleapis.com:
Check out that you are in the right project and click the ENABLE button. This will make the Places API available through the same API key used before.
