Chapter 4. Using SSAS
Now that you've seen the big picture of BI solutions in Chapter 1, been introduced to OLAP modeling for SSAS in Chapter 2, and been introduced to ETL and SSIS in Chapter 3, it's time to start working with SSAS to build your first cube. It is quite common to prototype cubes built on subsets of enterprise data quickly in a BI project. As with any other type of development, you can expect cube development to be iterative. Generally, ETL development runs somewhat concurrently to these cube iterations, assuming that you have the resources to commit to both of these processes.
