I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

As one of our authors can attest, a job can be painful no matter how good it sounds.
To many, the idea of a professor getting “tenure” seems almost magical; a guaranteed job for life, complete with the respect that comes with a doctorate. Among faculty members, it is considered a mark of success. Dr. Fisher had worked for more than 30 years to achieve this goal. To her friends and colleagues, she appeared to be doing what she wanted to do, achieving success, and getting paid for it.
Then she did the unheard-of. She quit.
