Conrad’s Story

Conrad was destined for great things. He just needed to switch gears first. Luckily, his friend knew it.

He had been excited to get his job at the water treatment plant. He found the work interesting and saw the chance to build a career. Most of Conrad’s duties involved the routine; he kept systems running and monitored output. He also did a bit of project work, serving as a member of a team that was working on improvements to the line. After six or eight months, his managers thought his work was adequate, and he had settled in to a job he referred to as “OK.”
