Exploring Expressions and Operators
Expressions and operators are the foundation of value manipulation in GQL. They enable you to filter nodes and relationships, compute metrics over graph structures, construct dynamic labels, and transform properties on the fly. In every MATCH, WHERE, RETURN, or SET clause, value expressions and operators turn raw graph data into the precise results your applications and reports require. Understanding their behavior, precedence, and interaction is essential for writing clear, efficient queries. Note that assignment occurs in SET clauses rather than inline within filtering expressions.
