I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

A number of books devoted to the topic of C++ portability have been published. Unfortunately, the problem with printed publications that discuss the state of C++ is that they date quickly. These publications might also fail to cover inadequacies of your particular compiler, because portability know-how is something that can be acquired only by collective experience.
Instead, online guides such as the Mozilla C++ Portability Guide (http://www.mozilla.org/hacking/portable-cpp.html), tend to be a more useful resource. An online guide such as this can accumulate the knowledge of a wider developer community and can be readily updated as new facts are discovered.
