Working with the Google Wave Client

The Google Wave Client interface is comprised of four panes that provide participants easy access to different elements, including navigation, contacts, an inbox, and a specific conversation (Figure 3-1).

As with other apps that use windows or panes, the panes in the Google Wave Client can be minimized and restored by clicking the corresponding icon at the top right of each pane (see Figure 3-2).

When a pane is visible, the minimize icon looks like a minus symbol. When a pane is minimized, the restore icon looks like two small overlapping windows.

And as you can see in Figure 3-3, a minimized pane can also be temporarily expanded by clicking a small drop-down arrow to the left of the restore icon (this provides quick access to information hidden in a minimized pane).

By clicking the down arrow, you can preview the contents of the minimized pane.

Panes can also be dragged by the handles on each side to adjust their width and height, allowing you to customize the overall view of the Google Wave Client to your liking.
