Meeting Rules of the Road (Suitable for Framing)
• Good meeting preparation is a must. You can’t execute a good meeting if you haven’t planned for it. And when you prepare, put yourself in the shoes of various attendees.
• Be large and in charge. People are looking for authority, for a leader, whether it’s for a 15-minute meeting or a one-week class.
• If you can’t take charge of a meeting, people (maybe even your sponsor) will wonder if you can lead a project.
• Do not let people hijack your meeting.
