The next morning came too soon. “I'll make this short and sweet,” my boss began. “You shouldn't have been working in the storeroom.” My heart sank. “I stopped by there again this morning and was surprised at what I found. Come with me.” He rose from behind his desk and motioned for me to follow. I followed him silently down the familiar hall toward the storeroom like a sheep on its way to slaughter.
