10.1 Introduction
Our goal of using a quality decision process is to increase the likelihood of a good outcome by making a good decision. Our decision analysis approach helps reach this goal by modeling value based on the best available data and expertise and using the model in a value dialog with experts, stakeholders, and decision‐makers aimed at providing insight to decision‐makers to aid their decision‐making. An important task is understanding and modeling the uncertainties involved with the decision. This takes time and, sometimes, a large amount of information.
