While logged in to your Twitter account, the first thing to do is create a specific application to get the authorization token. Follow these steps to get it done:
- Go to https://apps.twitter.com and create an application.
- Provide a name (mine is Thorru Steelmaul), a website (it could be your blog or Twitter, mine is http://arcadedata.org), and a description.
- Set the callback URL as http://127.0.0.1:1410.
- Check whether you agree with the developer's policy and hit the Create button.
- All the information you need to set up an authorization token will be lying in the Keys and Access Tokens tab, right under the big bold application's name. The following screenshot shows you where to look for it:
