I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Things to look for
How to pick a cloud? There is much to look for. The relationship between a data scientist and the cloud provider tends to be a long one, so it's better to choose carefully. Later in this chapter, we will be working with Azure, but you can pick any cloud you like. There is a three-stage process that I find very useful to decide on a cloud provider. Describing those in a few words:
- List resources
- Ask questions
- Compare prices
Even though many professionals get stuck with one cloud provider, there is no reason for you to go to the same one forever. After mastering one, jumping to the next one is very simple.
