I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Infrastructure as a Service
The most basic cloud service model offers computing infrastructure, virtual machines, and other resources, as a service to their users. They usually provide a high-level API or frontend to take care of low-level details such as networking, data partitioning, scaling, security, backup and so on. All of these are usually delivered as raw elements, so the cloud users need to maintain, patch and configure the different servers created by the platform.
Examples of these platforms are:
- Amazon AWS
- Google Compute Engine
- Microsoft Azure Virtual Machines
- Red Hat OpenStack
