So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Installing MongoDB
For the rest of the examples, we are going to require the MongoDB community server, so let's start installing it. First, we need to download the right version for our operating system by visiting https://www.mongodb.com/download-center?jmp=nav#community. It is available for Windows, Linux, and macOS. We can install it wherever we want to get a couple of programs under the bin folder:
- mongod: The database server
- mongo: The client
