I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Installing JDK 8
First, we need to have installed JDK 8; we are going to use Java SE Development Kit 8u144 or higher, available on http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html. Choose Java Platform (JDK) and then the right version for your operating system.
Complete the standard installation. Next, we need to establish JAVA_HOME and PATH variables in the right folders.
