I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

When an amplifier needs repair, the cause is usually one of the following:
Electrical abuse damage
This is the most common cause when the less rugged kind of solid-state, mainly audiophile-grade domestic power amplifier, which stands little abuse, needs repair. The most common victims are output and driver power transistors and associated, fry-able parts, usually resistors. Such equipment commonly omits high temperature warning, thermal protection, effective DC protection, discriminative fusing, power up/down muting and other stress-relieving or protective mechanisms.
