abscissa Horizontal or X axis of a graph.

absolute value When quantity alone is the issue, and polarity (+ or −) is of no consequence. This makes no sense with money, but it has meaning with waveforms, where ‘minus’ is just a name for ‘other side’, not a debt. A full wave rectifier has the property of making all output voltage values one way, either positive or negative. This is absolute value conversion. ...
