When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Networking Protocols
When some people speak about networking protocols, a reference is made to the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model. With this model, all of the networking protocols are categorized into one of seven types of protocols, where each type is represented visually as a layer. The visualization of layers is intended to help people understand the relationship between the various protocols and illustrate their dependencies. As it turns out, the only feature of the OSI model that has gained much respect or popularity is the idea of protocols represented as layers. However, the use of these specific seven layers is rarely seen as more than a theoretical academic model, and most people use a four-layer model.
