So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

VMControl creates a new adapter_def NIM resource and uses it while the deployment is
running. After that the resource is removed from NIM.
4.5.3 Deployment in work
We used the following command to deploy a virtual appliance to an existing virtual server.
smcli deployva -a deploy_existing -V 11703 -s 10765 -F
/export/nim/cust/cust_for_p5570lp02_restore
The virtual appliance was created by capturing a running operating system managed by
Systems Director.
Example 4-20 shows the customization file we used for deployment.
