Coupled Extended Remote Copy (CXRC) expands the capability of XRC so that very large
installations that have configurations consisting of thousands of primary volumes can be
assured that all their volumes can be recovered to a consistent point-in-time (see Figure 5-2).
Up to 14 XRC sessions can be coupled to a single master session. The multiple SDMs
coordinate their Consistency Group processing such that the recovery of all secondary
