If you tried to answer, your mind calculated quickly which day was “two days ago,” and from there it jumped to where you were (work, home, vacation), what you were doing (meeting with clients, spending time with family), and what other tangential thoughts, facts, and feelings were linked to that day. For instance, if you spent the day with someone you liked and you did something meaningful, some positive emotions came to mind, too.
