Extend Grace and Forgiveness

For inclusive conversations, the heart must have the desire for grace and forgiveness, the head must know the nature of grace and forgiveness, and the hand must know the path to achieve it.

 

Almost every day some high-profile person is called out in the media for saying or doing something that is considered insensitive or racist. Consider the comedian Kevin Hart’s despicable homophobic jokes from 2012 that were brought to light on Twitter and the controversy that ensued about whether that transgression should ban him from hosting the 2019 Oscars. Ultimately he did not host, even though he apologized many times and said that he had learned a lot since he made those remarks.
