In this chapter we will look at IR, disaster recovery and digital forensics including UK legislation. All organisations will face an incident at some point; it’s not a matter of if, but when. Therefore, it is essential to have a tested plan in place to reduce the harm of an incident. It might be that the incident needs to be investigated so a root cause can be found or criminal proceedings can be undertaken.
