I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

It may seem strange at the back of a security book to have a section on soft skills. However, they form a very important part of a successful career in security: stakeholder management, communication, influencing the organisation and explaining technical elements in a language that senior managers and other stakeholders can understand. Communication in writing, be it a report or presentation, is also crucial element.
Soft skills are indispensable; they bridge the gap between technical expertise and effective interpersonal interactions.
