SQL Server 2005 ships with a powerful user interface tool that can be used to create, manipulate, and manage traces. SQL Server Profiler is the primary starting point for most tracing activity, and thanks to the ease with which it can help you get traces up and running, it is perhaps the most important SQL Server component available for quickly troubleshooting database issues.
