Understanding the lessons learned from these great intranets will help you design a better intranet for your organization or your client’s organization. You can also make other, more process-related moves to improve intranet usability. Based on the above cases, the 2001–2008 winners, and our other experiences testing intranets, we offer a few of the most important recommendations for designing a usable intranet. Note that these recommendations have changed very little in the last few years.
