In this chapter, we will write a program for the DHT11, a humidity and temperature transducer.

After reading this chapter, you will learn how to communicate with the DHT11, a humidity and temperature transducer, and display the readings on the LCD connected to PORTE of the PIC32.

The DHT11 Humidity and Temperature Sensor

This is a device that can be used to monitor the humidity and temperature in a room.

The actual transducer we will use is shown in Figure 13-1.
