1. Creating Our First C Program

In this chapter, we will study the process of creating a project for the 32-bit PIC within Microchip’s IDE, MPLAB X. We will study the important aspect of creating a clock for the PIC. Then we will create our first program that will look at the ports and learn how to set the direction of data through the ports. We will then write a simple program to light an LED and simulate it within MPLAB X.
