To use the script demonstrated in this recipe, you will need to have Nmap output results in the greppable format. This can be achieved by performing Nmap port scans and using the -oA option to output all formats or -oG to specifically output the greppable format. In the examples provided, multiple systems were scanned on a single /24 subnet to include both Windows XP and Metasploitable2.
